 Shawnee E-Z Way Retarder Paper

These retarder papers can be used in all types of molds: Plastic, Fiberglass, and Steel.
They can be used with "Ring Forms" when rings are placed on a metal surface.
These are one-time papers: they may be placed in the molds either side up.
Papers are impregnated with the Retarding Solution.
Retarding strength is maintained indefinitely as long as the papers are stored flat in a dry area, as shipped in closed,
plastic moisture-proof bags.

When Ordering, Please State the Shape and Exact Bottom Dimensions of Your Molds.
If in doubt, send us a paper template for shape/size you need.

  #1 - Light Etch. .......Green Paper
#2 - Medium Etch.... Blue Paper
#3 - Heavy Etch ...... Pink Paper

The shade of the color has nothing
to do with the degree of strength.
Paper is colored for identification only.
 

Since E-Z Way Retarder Papers contain no caustic or harmful chemicals, you may
dispose of them in the same manner as any waste paper.

Due to diverse conditions when producing concrete, our guarantee is limited to the cost or replacement
of the retarder paper only.


Retarder Papers are used only to produce Exposed Stone surfaces.
Use a fairly wet mix, wetter than for your usual cement.
We suggest 3 parts Stone, 1 part Fine Washed Sand, and 1 part Cement.

  Prepare molds the same way you would for regular precast stones, giving them a good, but thin coat of release agent. Then place retarder paper in the bottom of the molds. Fill; vibrate briefly; cure till block can be handled without doing any damage to it, Remove from mold, strip off paper, and discard. Set block facing toward you at an angle of about 75 degrees, Spray or flush with a good hard spray of water to remove the soft layer of concrete and expose the stone.
